The Security Council is the UN’s most influential body, tasked with maintaining global peace through binding resolutions and international mandates. At KMUN’25, delegates will face two major agenda items. First, they will review the UN Peacekeeping mandate in Mali (MINUSMA), in light of escalating violence and the mission’s evolving challenges. The second topic involves assessing the frozen conflict in Syria, where delegates must work through complex political, humanitarian, and security concerns to propose viable paths toward resolution and long-term peace.
