SOCHUM addresses a wide range of human rights concerns, social issues, and cultural protection under the framework of international law. It also serves as the primary forum within the General Assembly for the promotion of humanitarian affairs. At KMUN’25, delegates will deliberate on three pressing global issues. The committee will begin by discussing restoring stability and security in post-conflict areas to ensure uninterrupted humanitarian aid. The second topic will focus on safeguarding cultural heritage sites from illicit trafficking and the impact of natural disasters. The final agenda will address the abuse and exploitation of children in the confined spaces of social media, a growing challenge in the digital age requiring urgent international cooperation.
